by Eugenio Lepine

HOSPITAL SAO JOAO

This hospital has been a very important part of the reiki integration into the Portuguese healthcare system. It has been one of the first to offer reiki therapy to patients with cancer, and it has also been the place where an important study was realized by the nursery staff in order to measure the impact that reiki has in the general well-being and diminish anxiety of said patients. Results indicate that reiki makes patients feel more balanced and resilient. This study has been object of a television capsule broadcasted by RTP.
